No. Rooted & Bloom Counseling & Wellness is a private-pay practice and does not accept insurance.
Choosing private pay allows therapy to remain focused on your needs rather than insurance requirements. Insurance companies often require a mental health diagnosis, may limit the number of sessions covered, and can request access to certain treatment information. Private pay allows for greater flexibility, privacy, and individualized care.
-
Under the No Surprises Act, clients who are uninsured or paying privately have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of services.
A Good Faith Estimate provides an estimate of the anticipated cost of therapy services based on the information available at the time it is created. The estimate is intended to help you understand and plan for the financial cost of your care.
Please note that a Good Faith Estimate is not a contract and does not guarantee the exact cost of services. If you would like to receive a Good Faith Estimate or learn more about your rights under the No Surprises Act, please review the Client Rights & Policies page.

The frequency of therapy depends on your goals, needs, and what feels most supportive for you. For many clients, I recommend starting with weekly sessions. Meeting consistently helps build momentum, strengthen the therapeutic relationship, and create meaningful progress.
As your needs change and goals evolve, we can adjust the frequency of sessions together to best support your growth and healing.

Individual and couples therapy sessions are 50 minutes in length. This allows time to explore concerns, process experiences, develop new insights, and work toward your goals while maintaining a consistent schedule.

Finding the right therapist is an important part of the counseling process. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can briefly connect, discuss what brings you to therapy, and determine whether working together feels like a good fit.
-
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We'll discuss what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any relevant background information. This is also a chance for you to ask questions and get a feel for what working together may be like.

No. While I offer faith-based therapy from a Christian worldview, you do not have to be Christian to work with me.
As a professional counselor associate, I have been trained to work with individuals from a variety of backgrounds, beliefs, and experiences. My goal is to create a space where you feel respected, supported, and understood.
For clients who would like to incorporate faith into the counseling process, there is space to do so. For those who prefer not to focus on faith, therapy can be tailored to your individual needs and goals.
-
Not necessarily. While I am able to provide a mental health diagnosis when clinically appropriate, I do not believe that every client needs a diagnosis to benefit from therapy.
My approach focuses on understanding you as a whole person rather than reducing your experiences to a label. When a diagnosis is used, it is because it serves a meaningful purpose in treatment and supports your goals. A diagnosis can help describe part of your experience, but it does not define who you are.
You are more than a diagnosis, and therapy is about understanding your story, strengths, and experiences—not just a label.

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice will be subject to the full session fee.

As a client, you have important rights regarding confidentiality, informed consent, privacy, and participation in your treatment. Please review the Client Rights & Policies page for more information.
-
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if it's your first time. It's completely normal to feel nervous. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable showing up as you are, and we'll take things one step at a time.
